Carry out and review Risk Assessments
Update and maintain COSHH register as required.
Maintenance of all documentation as required by ISO9001/Safety systems (e.g. Power Press Regulations & statutory inspections
Assist production in identifying any specialist tools/equipment required ensuring compliance with current legislation (e.g. jigs, fixtures, etc)
Prepare and compile costing for new manufacturing processes and installations and submit to Manufacturing Manager capital expenditure (CAPEX) requests
Audits (as required)
Liaise and assist Engineering Department with prototypes. Make recommendations as necessary.
Assist in pre-production manufacturing audits across product range as specified. Communicate audit findings to Manufacturing Manager, Quality Manager and Engineering
Assist in the smooth and timely introduction of project into full volume production
Set-up and allocate external resource to support maintenance of plant, equipment, services and premises as and when required
Support the manufacturing function as and when required
Identify the need for new layout within manufacturing and source any plant and equipment requirements
in conjunction with Departmental Supervisors
 Ensure new plant and equipment are specified and supplied


Milling, grinding, turning, read engineering drawings, ability to fault-find and problem-solve.  Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic circuitry.  Practical use of general machine shop equipment.

Hours 37 per week.  Holidays 33 days per year.
